I have personally worked with Mark Goodson and Public Utility Brokers for many years. That is until summer 2008 when I was approached by another "Energy Broker" who said he could do better so I gave him a chance at my business.
This proved to be one of my biggest mistakes I have ever made. It turns out that everything he said was a lie including that I could get out of the contract at anytime without a penalty. I bought into his lies and I now face a termination penalty in the tens of thousands if I cancel my contract.

Mark Goodson and Public Utility Brokers has been our energy broker for the past several years. Mark was our representative when I carne on board at Tekelec two years ago. Last year when energy prices were soaring Mark was in the forefront of assuring that Tekelec received the best prices possible, Mark kept me updated on a weekly basis as to what the market was doing and when the best time was to purchase an energy contract.
Had it not been for Mark and PUB getting us the best contract at the right time Tekelec would have paid over $15K more for our contract than we did. While investigating what deregulation could do for our company, we quickly discovered there are many companies claiming they could save us money. I soon had a flood of bids and all kinds of contracts on my desk and could not made heads or tails of what was being said. At that point I asked two energy consulting firms for professional help — Public Utility Brokers and another.
Within days both companies had results, but with a noticeable difference. The other company came back with one bid, claiming it would save us money. PUB came back with five bids, and more importantly told us they had found an error in our incumbent's billing that was costing us thousands, something in the tariff called "ratchets." I gave the go-ahead and within days we were switched to an REP that was saving us more than 15% over our previous supplier. Even more impressive is that PUB did all this for us and never asked for a dime!
